@brandon.nicolasg: When you start training for the job, a lot of the traditional bodybuilding stuff starts to take a back seat. Bro splits can work for physique goals, but tactical athletes and first responders usually need something more practical. Even other common splits like PPL or upper/lower can be solid, but full-body training tends to make the most sense when your schedule is unpredictable and recovery actually matters. With shift work, it’s hard to stick to a rigid program every single week. Some days you’re smoked after a shift, short on time, or just need to prioritize recovery. 3 full-body days and 2 conditioning days each week is a good way to set it up. The biggest benefit is flexibility. If life happens and you only get 2 lifting days in that week, you still haven’t completely neglected anything. You’ve still hit your major movement patterns, trained the whole body, and kept yourself progressing without feeling like the week was a waste. When programmed well, full-body training does more than just build strength. It can help you develop power, aerobic and anaerobic capacity, mobility, stability, and overall durability. Everything you need to actually carry over to the job. #firefighter #firefighterlife #firerescue #firedepartment #tipsandtricks
