My kid does this. This is why and open line of communication with the teachers is important from day one. That way it doesn’t stack up. And it’s not on the teacher to open up that line of communication, it’s on us as the parents. I begged for my son’s teachers not to push him through when he had done none of the work, they did it anyways.

My mom made me sit in my room studying multiplication tables in the 3rd grade (4th?). I spent an entire weekend with no TV and she would quiz me from time to time and then tell me to study more. I don’t remember what happened after, but I do remember the multiplication tables! ❤️
