A lot of people connected to Chester because his music made pain feel understandable instead of shameful. I think people were hearing the pain long before they understood how serious it was. If his music ever made you feel less alone, you were never the only one. In fact, if it made you feel less alone, I’m grateful. ❤️🩹💗

Chester’s lyrics were a RAW, DEEP look into his soul. With every album, he wanted someone to hear him, to really reach out and offer him genuine help. His fans however, would absolutely CRUSH his dreams, and album after album, they would take a dump on the music that he loved making, that he used as an escape, and it made him feel hollow. By the time his last album, One More Light, came out, you can hear how tired he was; the title song I will always call his “goodbye” letter, to everyone he loved. I can’t listen to One More Light without crying, because I can hear just how much he loved people, and how tired he was of everything. Chester was a legend, and he deserved better from the world. May he RIP ❤️🩹🕊️
