@save.a.dog.scheme: I’ve been a volunteer at save a dog for almost 4 years. I used to see Tessa each week in her kennel for more than 2 years. Just waiting for someone to see her. Sadly I lost my dog in February, but I just knew this is the time to help another dog. I’ve been fostering Tessa for about 6 weeks now, and I have to say I was surprised to see how well she settled in. It’s amazing the difference between a dog at a shelter and a dog at home. You absolutely CANNOT judge a dog by his behaviour at a shelter. She’s great at home! Amazing with the cat! She listens so well, wants nothing more than giving love, playing, cuddling, snoring and being happy. Because she has been so long at the shelter, she’s not used to socialising with other dogs and she responds in fear, we’re working with a trainer and she has improved so much! She will need someone that commits to keep going with the training she started, and can keep up the great work she’s doing.
