I don’t think it’s weird because me and my friends do this all the time where we are talking and just change in front of eachother. It wasn’t necessary but it’s realistic..

#real book readers KNOW this scene was a nod to what hannah mentioned in the first few chapters. i loved this easter egg & it felt so natural

The scene felt so refreshing to me, because it was such an everyday life kind of a thing. Nudity without sexual context, just like «hey i need to change real quick». The nudity in the scene wasnt a focal point or sexualized in any way.

i personally really liked this scene because it was a direct nod from the book but i can see how non book fans wouldn’t like it

I actually think it was necessary. It really pushed the fact about how carefree and idgaf attitude she had. And also how comfortable they were as friends

it’s good for her character but unnecessary that we needed to have full frontal in it tbh. all directors choice but it would’ve felt the same if you only saw her back

Tania Taekema🇨🇦 :
I feel like the intimacy coordinator for this show was not great. I saw an interview with Belmont talking about the scene with he and Hannah and he seemed very uncomfortable filming it. That seems wrong.

To the people saying it wasn’t necessary maybe it wasn’t but it was extremely realistic and shows how comfortable they are with each other

not_really_elijah :
I understand why people are saying it’s “unnecessary” but also, I think it was set up that way to show how close the two are, and to immediately point out their differences as people. Allie is carefree and Hannah’s a little more reserved
