Comprendo l’amarezza della maestra. Le rimprovero però l’incapacità di accettare la realtà dei fatti, gli ostacoli incontrati da Lila. Le ha gettato addosso tanto amaro, addizionandolo a quello che Lila aveva maturato già per il filo dei suoi eventi.

what i feel disgusted about is some of yall readers/watchers never take the time to understand stand such complex women characters. I never hated her ; i rather understood her decisions because the social/political context in which she grew up.

I have always loved Lenu because in some aspects she is so much like me and I was so annoyed at Lila, even mad… but her speech about the margins broke me cuz it was so close to home … my heart is aching for both of them .. such complex characters 💔
