When I was working in both MTN Nigeria and Airtel Nigeria as a customer care representative. If we don't introduce ourselves and the organization we're calling from, our quality assurance team would flagged the call as a "fatal call". That's a big penalty. So, it all depends on the organization. This is how we begin the call “My name is Cyril, and I am calling you from Airtel Nigeria. May I know if I'm speaking with Mr. Sales Guru?”.... This will get the receiver's attention. First, he understands he's not listening to a bot when you gave him your name. Second, he understands you're calling from a reputable organization when you mentioned where you're calling from. Third, he understands your call is specific to him when you mentioned his name. All these in 5 seconds
