What this nice officer should have done is this: spoken to the embassy established the facts. All the current questions being asked of AB should be asked of the embassy, for example, did he walk into the embassy, what did he do, why are you concerned. View any cctv of alleged offence if any then tell the embassy sorry no offences and then drive off. It is officers blood to ask you who you are what you are doing etc.
