When I was younger, my house was awful like this all the time and I had a best friend who would come over all the time and then tried helped me clean, within a day it get messy again, but she always came back to help me and never judged me

Grew up in a hoarder house. It affected me so much that now I have to have everything very minimalist and clean. It’s the worst, not being able to have your friends over when you are a kid.

I lived in a house like this growing up, except add in dogs and cats. I have to have things neat and organized in my home now. If there is the slightest bit of clutter, I get overwhelmed.

I had a friend that had a house not as bad but still very dirty and cluttered. I always Helped clean. You never know the baggage someone is carrying. It always helped her feel better 🩷

I know a man who grew up in a home like this. His entire childhood, his home was full of trash. When he moved out and got his own place, he kept it spotless. His home looks like a showroom. I'm so proud of him.
