to everyone saying it comes to a certain point, only because you make it that way. my mom has a best friend since middle school who she doesn’t talk to every single day but will randomly check in & start making plans. thats an adult friendship. you don’t need to be inseparable to have a healthy friendship.

A lot of you guys are missing the point. A lot of you have never come across that friend that is busy but you guys can still maintain a relationship. Me and my cousin are best friends do we talk every single day? No even in 2026 we went two whole months without talking and that was because I got a new schedule at work new schedule for school and I was busy as hell. Did that stop anything? Nope did we only talk to each other when we needed something? Nope did we only speak when something bad happened? Nope. You should be able to maintain a friendship without constantly needing to be by the phone all day we're adults
