I was a ragey kid and teen 😭 but I was dysregulated and unsafe due to childhood trauma and ADHD.

Jackie :
Yess, not just the years of injustice but the rage really came on for me when I realized how badly the conditioning was preventing current me from taking actions I wanted to improve my life. Like I knew exactly what I wanted/needed to do but it felt so impossible. Even with no contact it can feel like they are still controlling you in your mind

What if the rage starts at late 20s.

dude, thank you for speaking about this!!! So much rage coming up in EMDR and it's hard to deal with due to the shame that comes alongside. But telling that part, hey, you are important, you are right to feel this way, you are such a valuable part of me, and I'm so sorry you were pushed inside and made to feel so guilty and wrong. It's a process. De-shaming the anger is so so huge. It's giving my selfhood back to me, bit by bit :-)

my mom is the only person in the world who can get me heated enough to start yelling and acting out. I barely talk to her and she still gets it out of me

My mom spent my childhood working outside of the home. Now she expects me to take care of her 24/7. It’s crazy.
