But framing this as 'POV Black in China' and the comment section saying you 'chewed her up' feels way out of pocket for an innocent question from a child. There’s a huge difference between a kid's curiosity and the malicious, violent racism people often face elsewhere, both Chinese and Black. China definitely has issues with colorism we need to work on, but most people genuinely want to be welcoming. It's disheartening to see a child's innocent mistake turned into an online backlash. It feels disproportionate and honestly, like bullying.
