@huckmagazine: Yesterday, Artists for Gaza took over @scalalondon for a fundraising gig in support of the Health Workers 4 Palestine Gaza Medics Solidarity Fund. A one-night-only band featuring The Jam’s Paul Weller, @madnessbandofficial’s @suggs, Kevin Rowland, Sex Pistol’s Glen Matlock and more performed alongside DJ sets from Bobby Gillespie, Jerry Dammers, Gilles Peterson and others, raising money for mobile clinics, maternity wards and Gazan medics. The event came just a day after thousands marched through central London in support of Palestine, while a separate far-right protest organised by Tommy Robinson also took place in the city. Artists for Gaza was founded in 2024 by Chris Sullivan, whose son Finbar Sullivan – who filmed the gigs – was killed last April on Primrose Hill while trying out a new film camera. Speaking after his son’s death, Sullivan said: “The hate should not be directed at minorities. Fin above all was proud to be a Londoner, proud of this multiracial, wonderful place we are."
