@kylercheatham: Apparently ‘don’t lie to your customers’ and ‘don’t promise a 100‑day miracle ERP’ is too much to ask 🤡📉 #netsuite #oracle #saas #erpsoftware #techtok
Oracle ERP is one of the most complex installation

I just came out of a MASSIVELY expensive failed ERP implementation that got the CFO and the VP of Business Systems fired and we’re considering suing the integrator. NetSuite WAS involved.

It takes 100 days just to find out your processes aren't documented enough to build anything 😭

Just pay devs. Hire devs, and tell them what you need, and tie their bonus to your companies success. They will build exactly what you need, without all the junk you don’t and they get bonuses when your company does well. In house software >>>>>>>

As a SAAS provider and former integrator, how can we help our customers better understand the depth of detail and sheer volume of work required for enterprise level integrations? The biggest problem I see happening is customers not providing enough information, integrators not asking enough questions, and late nights spent fixing issues that should’ve been prevented in the discovery process.

As it contractor one thing I always tell my clients is whenever you’re buying a Saas solution always call the support line 1st before the sales. If you have to wait a ridiculous amount of time for support chances are they’re not selling a good product.

If there isn’t an implementation engineer sitting with the most prolific/efficient user of the erp and developing a complete plan based on their workflow, the solution will fail and the saas team did not do their due diligence in making it a success

work at a company that uses netsuite. we have all kinds of crazy processes built to work around the stupid stuff netsuite does. like certain queries have a hard-capped runtime inside netsuite. so they just can't ever complete, and we end up with the wildest workarounds. Just one example.

As a registrar and Ellucian Banner user, the workday and oracle folks trying to encroach on the higher Ed sector is absurd. There solutions are barely even viable.
