@stephengpope: If you've built automations on top of Claude Code, this affects you. Anthropic just killed Max subscription support for the -p flag and the Agent SDK. Anything you built using your Max plan for automated workflows? Broken. But there's a workaround: Claude Heartbeat. It uses Claude Code hooks to inject messages into an interactive session, keeping your automations alive without needing the SDK. And hooks themselves are underrated. You can fire them when a session ends to auto-commit code to GitHub, run cleanup scripts, log everything. When a platform shuts a door, hooks usually open another one. Don't panic. Build around it.
