Two thousand unspoken words :
every birth is a different experience, and every woman has a different experience.

Did you do physical exercises in preparation for your birth if so what were they ? My last birth was awful and just found out I’m pregnant and don’t want a painful birth again x

my first birth was a bit tough going, but ten hours natural birth and I was young. Others were easy, no pain relief, I actually loved it 😆 sorry to anyone who doesn't believe me. I'd do birth a million times over, pregnancy, no! 🤣

I had the same ok my second birth. Was too late for any pain relief when I got there and it didn’t hurt. No ring of fire, nothing. Just pressure. I felt like a new woman after and went home the same day and even stopped at Asda to get dinner. 😂

makes me laugh when they get touchy ... my second was a natural... had no time for pain relief and it was the easiest birth out of my two. 🥰🌸

My birth was the exact same🫶🏽 - no pain relief and I was back home within 8 hours, no complications and my contractions where worse than actually being 10cm and pushing😅

I’m with you, three unmedicated natural births and they weren’t bad at all. I’m pregnant with my 4th and excited for this birth in the next few weeks! My water birth was nearly completely painless, it was just the crowning that stung a bit x

Do people not know that everyone experiences and feels pain differently😅 I honestly was like you with my 2nd birth. Contractions FOR ME were so mild that I didn’t even know I was in full blown labour? Even when I was in the delivery room being told I’m 8cm, I still was like how?? My period pains have genuinely been worse. I didn’t have any pain when she came out either. I just had pressure and stretch feeling. Maybe cos she just came out without like full on multiple pushes? No ring of fire that everyone talks about. I even got stitched for almost 30 mins and again, was fine. The dr even commented on how I didn’t flinch when she gave me all the local injections down there. However, having the finger and pessary up my behind HURT LIKE HECK and I had to proper hold onto the bed. I also had to have my wee drained during labour (bladder condition which means my bladder stops working) and that really hurt to the point that I cried and had to tell her to stop. And I catheter myself multiple times a week and it always hurts but that was terrible. So I still feel pain badly, but for me, labour and birth was not painful. Maybe with my baby due later this year it’ll hurt and that’s okay🤣🤣

Mine was easy 2 hrs 56 mins she was a month premature gas and air only and it was only when the drs checked did the realise I was 10cm which shocked them and me 15 mins later she was born I had to stay in a week so baby could be monitored due to been early other than jaundice and a hole in her heart she was fine

People like this baffle me 🤣 Every birth is different, every person is different. I have very quick births (3h first and 24mins second) (no stage 2), and had no pain relief but pregnancy was awful. My SIL was in labour for 72 hours

I’ve had two natural births. One had me taking every pain med going. The other one I had gas and air, and when it came down to pushing I didn’t even use it. Every birth is different.

Everyone’s birth experience is different ??? I’ve had 2 none medicated births and I found them fine. My son’s labour was literally 49 minutes. And I was back to normal only a few hours after both of them. Just because it’s not like that for everyone doesn’t mean we’re lying 🤣

2 natural births and an elective c section. My 1st was easy, gas and air and she was out in an hour, no trouble at all. 2nd was absolutely disgusting, he got stuck at the shoulders, I had every single piece of pain relief possible, unfortunately he was born not breathing and had to be brought back, which he is thankfully OK and is now 21, my last was basically an agreement between my consultant and I that we weren't about to do that again so we came to the agreement of a c section. My recovery time from that was about 2 weeks before I was able to go out on my own. Every birth is different, some have it easy, some don't. Some want natural births, some don't want to try. None of that matters, what matters isn't how hard or easy it is, what matters is the experience and for the majority of people having a healthy baby. Not everyone is that lucky at the end of it. Nowadays people are offended over other people's experiences and I will never understand why 🤣 x
