@golloria: equity is always hard to fight for when the system was never built with you in mind to begin with.🤏🏿 and i think that’s what some people fail to understand about this conversation. just because this fight is not YOUR fight does not make it insignificant. it just means YOU have likely never had to think about beauty through the lens of limitation, adaptation, compromise, exclusion, colorism, or the ways racism has historically shaped who industries center, prioritize, and build for by default. because yes, it really is THAT deep.
