At only two months old, this kitten has faced one challenge after another. First came a devastating eye injury. Then a high-risk surgery. Now she's fighting a serious viral infection while trying to recover from the operation at the same time. She had only received her first vaccine, so her immune protection wasn't fully developed yet. The stress of surgery and recovery placed enormous pressure on her tiny body, allowing the illness to become active. The eye surgery was never a choice—it was a necessity. Her eye had already ruptured and the inflammation was rapidly worsening. Without intervention, the infection could have spread even further. After surgery, we hoped she was finally on the road to recovery. Instead, she stopped eating and drinking the very next day. Right now she's receiving intensive supportive care every day. The coming days are incredibly important, and we're doing everything possible to help her through this difficult period. Thankfully, the hospital has stepped in with some kindness. They've offered a stronger antibiotic free of charge, giving her better support against inflammation and infection. At present, she's stable. Not better yet, but not worse either.
