I’ve always thought this was Conor’s worst performance during his prime years, cause although he lost to Diaz that was more of a cardio issue. Against Mendes he was getting caught early while still being fresh, I thought he was very sloppy in this fight defensively.

These people in the comments are actually dumb. It doesn’t matter if Conor was preparing for Aldo that’s irrelevant you get a massive advantage with a full camp in comparison to 2 weeks. The argument of “he’s prepared for a different fighter” can be applied to every short notice fight, but we don’t say they have a advantage or are even comparable to the athletes there fighting. A perfect example is Volk vs Islam the first fight was great. What happened in the second fight Volk got dominated why? Probably because of a short notice.
