@valentin.ra: Perfect reason to visit the back side of Warsaw's Palace of Culture and Science (Pałac Kultury i Nauki / PKiN). 🏙️ This grand circular fountain (fontanna główna) is back in action after reopening in July 2024. It was built in the monumental Socialist Classicism style (socrealizm) but stood completely dry and abandoned for almost 15 years. Its main structural feature is a series of massive water streams shooting from the mouths of stone heads directly into the center of the basin. 💦 Because these heads look like they have a thick, majestic mane, people nicknamed it the "Lion Fountain" (fontanna z lwami). 🦁 However, they are not lions.
