Yes and no. Its because stats and attributes that YOU want might be different from what someone else wants to do with that weapon. there really isnt a specific "God Roll" when it comes to Rivens because its all very subjective. When it comes to Destiny there is a very specific God Roll for a specific weapon and if you dont get all the right perks, it isnt considered a God Roll because its missing just one perk. With Rivens you could completely change the direction of your current build on a weapon just because you got a wacky Riven that makes you see an entirely different path that weapon could take.

That’s the mindset I have always been afraid of when players defect from Destiny is the constant hunt for “meta” builds and “god roll” weapons. I’ve been running Equinox, Baruuk, Grendel, etc and those aren’t “meta” frames but I enjoy them and take them routinely into end game content with hardly any issues. People need to stop worrying about collective thinking and focus on individual enjoyment. 2¢

If you’re only minmaxing dmg then yes. Otherwise it can be just as valuable to get a utility riven that doesn’t directly improve dmg but improves the feel of the gun like improving mag size for example or reload speed. The Felarx for example is extremely powerful without a dmg riven and you wouldn’t see much difference if it had a dmg riven compared to a utility riven

thats if and only if you can get the riven to roll exactly what you want. because the riven system can either give you an absolute insane roll or give you something that makes you question why you keep trying to reroll the thing for the 100th time.

God rolls aren't even unique to Destiny or Warframe. Diablo and Nightreign can have god rolls in their games.

Perhaps but rivens are not really a huge necessity you can complete all content without them in fact on popular guns with low disposition you might be better of without them.

Riven's are the end game rng of warframe. Similar in vibe to grolls from destiny but more rng and a lot less protection. But if you have the currency you are very likely to get what you want. Also avoid the riven market. They are all insane weirdos.
