According to officials, the raid was conducted by Kabul Province’s 15th police district in the area of the city’s 17th district. During the operation, kidnapped citizen Haji Sahib Syed Ashraf was rescued safely. Authorities said five kidnappers and accomplices were captured alive, while the gang’s leaders, Karimullah and Ahmadi, were killed during the raid. Security forces also seized weapons and ammunition from the group. Officials described the network as one of the most dangerous kidnapping gangs operating in Kabul and said the operation was carried out following intelligence-led efforts to track the suspects. The Ministry of Interior said the successful operation demonstrates that strong and deadly action will be taken against anyone threatening the country’s security and public safety. Officials further claimed that kidnappings in Kabul will now come to a permanent end, describing the dismantled group as the last major kidnapping gang active in the capital.
