Hiii, book cover designer here for a big publisher in London (not Penguin) - I feel this is not the flex you think it is and you’re coming across really rudely. You can have your own opinion and constructive criticism is welcome but just saying ‘3/10’ is not helping anyone. This would have gone through rounds of in-house decisions, approvals and work from the designer and to just be so blunt and disrespectful online is really not the way to go about things. I hope at least to the Penguin team you were much more polite and kinder. Not all ‘authors’ know best.
