If roundup is so bad, why does it have the least amount of time for REI (return entry interval) in a seed corn field? 4hrs. Everything else 8,12,24,48 hrs even. It’s sooooo baddddd😂

As I was sidedressing corn a few day ago I noticed birds had crapped on some corn I can't wait until the general public finds out. Honestly my biggest deal that turns my crank is listening to people crying about gmo as they throw all the junk out of their vehicles along roadside.

I just finished cleaning up my shelter belt. Because the f’ing wind blew all the trees down last summer.

Seems like the single disc JD are the worst for blowing. My flax stubble that was harrowed twice, straw burnt in the fall, seeded with wheat and then seeded at 90° angle with perennial ryegrass. One headland blew a bit at the peak wind gusts

I won’t defend round up. We definitely could use more trees. I’m on the fence about how good or bad NH3 is.

Extra windy up in peace country, and we have tons of trees up here stopped the wind.

Every tree I’ve ripped out has been dead for many years prior to me ripping them out. I’m just sick of cleaning up tree debris in my fields so I tear them out. My ground is heavy cold black dirt located in the red River valley and whether they are dead or not they seem to store water which we are wet all the time as it is. We grow mostly corn so we really don’t have any dirt blow. I believe farming practices and crop rotation has more to do with it than having trees or not. The farms by me that have dirt blow always have had dirt blow. Because they believe is working every acre to a powder and then rock rolling it in 60 mph winds when there is no rocks or dirt clumps to roll flat. You smooth out every acre you farm it will sift on a calm day.

I blame soybeans. Especially guys that do beans on beans. There is literally nothing for plant material left. I’ve seen years where it’s gotten dry that harvested bean fields blow. Not tilled just harvested. Also when you roll any ground unless it has corn or wheat stubble, it blows with that kind of wind.
