actually, I'd love if someone asked me the tax system 😭 I have some very minor lore, like why only the first floor buildings are made from bricks, but the bigger ones use a denser form of building materials. and it had to with kobolds and unpaid labor prior to the workers revolution of 934

"Can you explain the tax system..." Be careful, I made a full on, physical, contract that my players had to read and "sign" in-character for a job they did for an in-game company. Yes, there is language in there that the Devils who technically own the company from the Nine Hells can take their souls as recompense if the contract is broken. No, they did not find that language.
