Yeah, bill should only be split when the food is shared. I've never had to split a bill with multiple ppl. You pay what you ordered and ate.

That happened to me once. I was on a trip and on a budget. Met some friends for lunch and they told the waitress we were splitting the bill even though we didn’t share anything. I ended up paying $70 after tip when I would’ve spent maybe $30 for myself 😭 I didn’t wanna be that person and then another friend sent me money to make sure I had enough gas to get home.
