Furniture is meant to be used, and desks like this were made to be functional parts of everyday homes. But now, I’m constantly seeing pieces like this listed for free or sitting on the curb waiting for trash pickup. Sometimes repurposing is exactly what keeps them alive and functional instead of sending them to the dump. Instead of letting this sturdy little desk sit forgotten forever, I cut it apart and turned it into two dark and moody nightstands with its deep, rich wood grain on full display. Because let’s be real, in today’s homes, nightstands and side tables are often more practical than a small cramped desk. And this way, the piece continues its story as a useful part of a home.
