Idk why this is titled 'burning bridges'… in this scenario there’s no bridge to be burnt when you know you’ll never cross it again. That bridge is structurally damaged anyways lol

I know it is not appropriate to send this kind of resignation letter. However it is very well done. I just wonder if the management have taken things on board!!

That was the most professional and respectful “f*** you” I’ve ever heard. Well done to the writer. I hope their new job is amazing.

Management will NEVER own that they are the problem to a toxic work environment.

Please tell your friend that she is exactly who she thinks she is. May her future be so bright and the labour she has put into not only this business but likely so many others, come back to her x 1000.

The “high school” jab was on point. The “everyone knows” will not go away in the readers’ minds.

It’s weird to think that now, AI can write something like that in about 15 seconds.

I wrote a savage two page exit interview questionnaire once for a toxic job I left and it's still by far the thing I'm most proud of lol. It's saved in my emails and I go back and read it every so often 😂 I don't think anyone who mattered read it or cared but it was cathartic for me lol and has not affected me negatively in any way in the rest of my career. 10/10 would recommend

I feel this was actually very professionally said. The sad thing is like she said in the beginning, it won’t be read by the people who need to see it 🙁.

Unfortunately, HR is the only one to read the entire letter. The company doesn’t care- CLEARLY.

I resigned from my job February of this year. I’ve still haven’t found another job and I’m barely surviving. However, I have peace of mind. I have no anxiety, and I’m no longer having panic attacks. The toxic and emotional toll working in that kind of environment is no longer something I can do. I hope that I find work soon. I don’t regret leaving. Mgmt in companies should all be required to be trained to be in roles with titles and managed. Accountability is something that no longer exists. Everything in her letter was factual. It’s unfortunate
