my friend brought up the genius idea though that Sam and even bishop in his character know damn well these pythons could only eat a malnourished toddler at most, but that he used it as a metaphor to say that even if rue or someone is lurking in the shadows to take them down, they know. they see it and theyre catching on. and rues not getting back in the bed next time, shes getting put in someone else's care and a case 24/7 at least in the metaphor
