My husband of 44 years is eating a donut and half a corn dog a day. It’s what he wants. Maybe few sip of water. No longer calling people, no longer engaging in conversation, no longer staying awake, sleeping a lot and goes to bed at three in afternoon. He often ask me strange questions out of no where and I’m here. Trying to help him. I know. 🙏💕

College used to have Death and Dying classes, Thanatology. Should be required. Life cannot exist without death.

I'm not pleased hospice nurse disclosed Info I told her in confidence to my oncologist doctor after I expressly forbid her from doing so. now not use their services until absolutely necessary and then at home

Hospice is 24/7 to those family members who take responsibility to those who are terminally ill.

My dad was lucky to be able to pass IN a hospice house with round the clock care. I was surprised to hear that there's only a few in my state

Like many others on here, I have lived this and it is absolutely accurate. Hospice is education, advice, sympathy and death doula all in one. Once we understood each other, everything they did in care of my mother when her Alzheimer’s was in end-of-life level helped us understand exactly the items mentioned here. Priceless IMHO.
