tithing was meant for the caretakers of the temple who could not farm or raise food otherwise and was designed to help them feed their families. read the Bible, tithing was a 10th of the first fruits of everything you raised or grew. has nothing to do with money and is not a new testament command. everything given to the church now is considered a gift or giving even Jesus said give what you feel compelled to give.

That doesn't have to do with tithing to the church. It doesn't say anywhere in the bible that we give a 10th. It doesn't matter if its a dollar or 10,000 dollars. As long as it comes from the heart. We came up with tithing from a war in Genesis where a 10th of spoils was given and it wasn't to the church either.

tithe and offering is good and in believe it's for the building, bills and people who are sick and down however I don't believe in a paid pastor or administration church has become a business, I do believe in tithe and offering give out of your heart be a cheerful giver 🙏🙏🙏

But the tithe wasn’t for the church but for the store houses for the feasts and to help the needy not the church.

The 10% rule is from the Old Testament and is a Jewish law which modern days Jews still practice today, but Jesus actually spoke against tithing saying to the Pharisees. They only care about their ties and don’t care about other matters that matter way more the New Testament says that we should give with a cheerful heart, but we’re not required for the 10%. If we’re following the 10% then we’re following the old covenant. We’re Christians not Jews.

Imagine if all of us in the church gave 10%. The difference that the church could make in this country would be unbelievable. You could solve homelessness, you could take care of the mental health problem. You could change the world.

Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former Matthew 23 23 so here’s the verse which Jesus is not indirectly, saying as bad to ties, but the Pharisees care more about money than more just matters of God‘s law and if you notice every American church before they give a word or they preach they want your money first this is where Jesus spoke about, but Jesus said, rather give generously with a cheerful and open heart instead of a 10% so us as Christians are not required to give a 10% and a 10% is not even spoken anywhere in the New Testament

That was old covenant for whom didn’t have the Holy Spirit so foe them it was written as something to go by. God loves a cheerful giver. Jesus didn’t tithe but we do and give as led by the Holy Spirit. Today, we are one with Jesus, cant rob for everything is His. If you beleive then be les by the Holy Spirit on what to give of what is His. We are stewards of what belongs to Jesus. He is Lord overall. Now the following comes into effect, he is that is trusted over little will be trusted over much, for what? To finance His kingdom to seek and save the lost (Mat 28). Obey and He will increase you, let Him be first in everything, consider not yourself. I like Josh but…. they teach this to have a consistent income and a salary but Jesus said (Mat 10) freely you received, freely give, don’t make it a business 🤦🏻 what Josh knows regarding scripture is because God revealed it to him, he is not that bright (none of us are lol) so don’t boast. The glory is His 100% so freely you received, freely give. Don’t pressure people into tithing, pressure them to consistently be led by the Holy Spirit, seek firstthe Kingdom of God and HIS righteousness, the rest will be added to you. Glory to God 🙏🏼
