I had a very long argument with my mom a few weeks ago over morality, religion, and the whole idea of jesus himself. I gave her evidence, talked through my points, gave her my own very vulnerable experiences while i was a believer and he was never there for me in my darkest moments, used our family as an example, etccc and this is the first time i truly saw her show her anger towards me in a bit. She wished that i would suffer and see how i would "need" god then, that i would be a failure when i grow up, and that i'm stupid and know nothing and to shut up. She yelled at me horribly, and that's when i realized that it doesn't matter. I can't save her, it doesn't matter what i say or do, she will never see the truth.
