I bought drives before the price went crazy but now I’ve got a 40Tb Unraid server and spent less than I would if I kept Netflix and the 1 or 2 random other services that I would cycle over the past 2 years. I also no longer pay for extra iCloud backup for my photos and just run Immich so I’m saving more money there too.

sonarr and radarr are the best. you can tie them with Plex or jellyfin. you can even use bazarr to handle all subtitles. you are all welcome.

If I’m missing something, please feel free to correct but the key point here is your own media. I feel like these home lab videos pretend like you can just stand up and Netflix replacement without having to actually fill out the library, which is pretty expensive and hard to do unless you’re taking let’s say more creative approaches
