@jake_the_nature_nerd: Replying to @Katie🌺 this is a fantastic question! And one that we get fairly frequently every Spring as we raise these tadpoles into toads. What DO the tadpoles eat? In the wild they’re omnivores munching on organic matter, algae and inverts… but at home they love to consume baby spinach, algae wafers and frozen brine shrimp! I feed them very similarly to the other fish in my basement. They’ll even take fish flakes if you have those laying around. #tadpoles #frog #toad #food #naturevibes

So we get treefrog tadpoles every year in our above ground pool. 5 years now. Aquarium to shaded baby pool. We haven't had a mosquito issue for years.... so fun. Thanks for your video. BTW I did frozen Spinach

My grandson caught 5 and we kept them alive over a week. I was told to feed them fish flakes like aquarium fish and idk if that’s where we went wrong or if I had them in too small of a space (9x13 glass casserole dish). I didn’t have any sand but I did have rocks. Does anyone have any advice for another go at it?
