Labour is paying NHS Trusts to audit their waiting lists to remove people who no longer need to be on the waiting list. For example, people who got fed up waiting and went private, or people who have died, are removed from the waiting lists. It does not mean the person has actually had the treatment they were waiting for. But you know this, don’t you?

And how sustainable is that going to be with inflation rising, unemployment rising (leading to reduced tax income for the Government and an increase in benefit payments)? This is what Labour - and most on the left - fail to understand. Punish those who pay the most in and get the least out, and still bügger the poorest in the long run anyway.

This is the thing that angers me: Starmer is doing a fantastic job. NHS waiting lists down, dental reforms are fantastic, the economy is growing consistently, he's nationalising steel, green energy and railways, he's rebuilding our military, he's got the boat crossings coming down, he's getting us back towards the EU, he's standing up to Trump and Putin, he's kept us out and illegal war. I'll criticise his support for Israel and for appointing Mandelson, but aside from that id say he is a good PM, best since Wilson. But people aren't told this, and part of Starmer problem is he fails to communicate what he is doing. He needs an Alistair Campbell type figure to help be a spin doctor
