Correlation doesn't equal causation. An explanation that is just as plausible is that children with a condition that makes them more likely to be picky eaters have reduced diversity in their gut bacteria because they have reduced diversity in their diets

I read somewhere that one of those bacteria thrives with pectin high diet and the other fibre. Do you think diets for babies before 1 high in pectin and fibre would help the bacteria thrive?
