The Prophet (ﷺ) explicitly explained that a husband is rewarded for the small things he feeds or gives to his wife, which highlights the beautiful affection and romance legislated in Islam. Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 64 (Book of Military Expeditions), Hadith Number 4409: "Narrated Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, '...and whatever you spend for Allah's sake will be a deed of charity for you, even the bite of food which you put into your wife's mouth.'"
