Haha both Audi and BMW (I’ve had many of both but not used) would easily set you back $3-$4k over 5 years in unplanned maintenance.

Depreciation on a tesla is way more than a gas car. Electric cars are alot better under a lease

Did your Tesla need a $3000 oil filter housing or a $5000 head because your valves leak oil into your cylinders or did you have to replace your water pump and your thermostat for like 4K?? If not then I think you came out on top

We’ve had great ownership experience with our model 3. Charge at home about $30 per month, no fuel, no oil change. We had one seatbelt issue and an AC issue which were both easily fixed. We pickled our car up with 3 miles on the odometer and now have owned it for over 100,000 miles. Plus picked up FSD and the car drove us from Louisiana to Disney Orlando almost completely by itself.

I’ve had my Tesla for about 5 years now. Not a single issue. Only thing that’s been replaced are the tires. Battery life is still great. It’s our daily driver and we take it on road trips. We charge 99% of the time at home. I don’t think I can over go back to a gas car.

Premium gas would not be needed. The computer adjust to the gas you put in it. They tell you that so the gas companies make money on premium gas.
