That was happening to mine too. Would spray everywhere and I was tired of tying a rag. Got a different type of hose and it fixed the problem!

honey there's a click thing (idk how its called) in home depot that you can buy to adapt the hose from your washing machine, take a picture and they'll find the right one for you
