I suffer from schizophrenia myself, but I have been taking antipsychotics for 10 years… my schizophrenia is in remission, meaning I pretty much experience no symptoms anymore. Just because you suffer from it once does not mean you will suffer forever from it, especially with good treatment!!

i havent been diagnosed with anything but personally i also get paranoid about my friends, and when someone does something or says something it can kinda trigger it and i get really freaked out, along with feeling very disassociated 24/7. the paranoia occurs every day, and im wondering if its a big deal

I've been diagnosed with schizophrenia for 9 years this year, when I asked what type of schizophrenia I would have (they got rid of the types before i was diagnosed) my psych said I would have disorganised type. I don't take meds anymore because I feel better off of them and I prefer my symptoms to the side effects of all meds I have tried (I have been on over 8 meds and none of them have ever made my hallucinations go away, just easier to tell from reality.)
