ER here. Streaking is lymphangitis, not sepsis. That's MRSA and needs Doxycycline.

Hot tub folliculitis - it’s actually a thing 🤣(yes I know you were in a pool). Can happen from warm, poorly chlorinated water like pools, hot tubs, etc.

Appreciate everyone’s opinions on this!! My dr seemed unconcerned and I did inform the dermatologist and they said I’ll be fine until my appt next week. I HATE the dr which is why I’m okay with waiting as long as no other issues come up. As far as contagious, it seems to not be or it would have definitely spread by now. We’ll see!

In micro biology in nursing school one thing that my professor said that stuck with me was never shave before getting into any body of water. You can have micro cuts that microorganisms can get into and cause infection.
