as an ex IT employee, these are actually the best requests because it means you get an easy fix/ticket close which makes your performance numbers look better in ServiceNow

my schools IT staff couldnt even fix the macs, i knew how to fix them within 5 minutes but ofcourse couldnt do anything to actually fix them. took them 3 days.

Got a question, but i thought calling the IT guy whenever was literally fine, because isn’t that what they’re there for. Like they get payed to do that, and alot of the time it appears that they’re not really doing anything. I don’t know what is going on. But surely they cant be doing that much constantly they set up a security system and stuff and do websites and all that stuff, but once they’ve done that aren’t they just maintaining it. What are they actually doing. (Correct me if im wrong, i just don’t understand)

I was a student and I had teachers come knock for me when in in lessons to fix it as it would take our IT department 5 hours to get to it
