Thank you so much for confirming my suspicions regarding the cost of eyeglasses. My most recent frames are by Oliver Peoples (Gregory Peck model, the the name itself had considerable allure; I’m male) and the two previous were Ferragamo, which I believe is licensed to a different source. Each of these eyeglasses cost me $1200. I agree that the frames probably cost about $30 to make. Can you tell me how much the progressive lens in each cost to make? Roughly, what would be the markup on those? Like your other viewers, I love these videos. 👓

Unfortunately, its only actually roughly 30–40% of the global eyewear market depending on how it’s measured. In the United States, possibly higher. Not globally. Fortunately, I have been in the business for close to 3 decades.
