@gabriel.nussbaum: How to but a house with just £4000 (The maths) A few things I need to make clear: 1. This is just the maths not me saying it's a good idea. 2. You need to look into whether or not this is actually right for you. 3. The lifetime ISA has more terms and conditions, such as: 4. You have to be between 18 and 39. 5. The money has to go towards a first-time property or retirement. 6. There is a penalty if you withdraw the money for reasons other than buying a property under £450,000. 7. The product is currently in consultation and is likely to be changed early next year. (For the better hopefully) Having said all that do you think this is a good idea? #PersonalFinance #property #lisa #LearnOnTikTok
no point only putting down 4k if you're making 65k a yeat😂

question - if me and my partner both have a LISA account (separately) can this be combined together to purchase a property over £450k?

With this product, if you were to put down £8k instead of £5k will that bring the interest rate down?

The catch - your LISA must have had £4000 in it 12 months ago. Or put £4000 in now and wait another 12 months

Yeah it’s entirely possible to buy a house in the UK with just£4000 deposit. You can achieve this through specific low deposit or by combining your £4000 with the 25% government bonus from a lifetime ISA to secure a low-cost starter home.

Don’t you need to have the LISA open for 12 months before purchasing a house?

Yes after 1 year of holding the isa you can withdraw so it’s best to stack as much as you can work as many jobs in that year to have extra money for problems etc if anything goes wrong
