@prairielandmyo: Replying to @Tina Lynne middle tongue elevation/activation is especially important for us narrow/vaulted palate people! #airwayhealth #myofunctionatherapy #jawpainrelief #clenchingteeth #sleepbetter
i have a 28.5mm palate and realized i had gotten used to curling the edges to maintain suction. i get a lot of saliva when i try to engage the middle like you demonstrated in the video. is that normal

The middle of my tongue touches the roof of my mouth but the front of my tongue goes down and the back doesn’t touch either and I’m so confused 😅 I tend to clench my teeth and have neck and jaw pain and breathing issues from feeling like my jaw and neck are super unstable 😅 I also have shoulder and rib issues on my left side so I’m not sure what’s causing what 😵💫

Does this mean expansion isn’t always necessary? My palette is too narrow for my tongue it was recommended by my myo therapist to see an airway dentist who is recommending that

My suction seems fine when sitting up it is when I lay on my side the back of my tongue doesn't seem to be able to suction far enough back.
