I have a medical condition called POTS my dr wants me to track my blood sugar for a few weeks to see if the blood sugar levels are making me pass out or if it’s the pots. Does it hurt?

It runs in my family…so annoying!!!! I’ve done it while driving and that was the scariest thing ever! When that happened we started taking it serious and still no one can figure out what is wrong with me😫

Following! I agree with the other comments, I’ve had the same things happen and they weren’t sure it was POTS so maybe it’s my blood sugar as well!

I have worn a Dexcom multiple times for better patient care (I am a dietitian and work with diabetics) I struggle with lows myself! Definitely recommend higher protein BUT balanced meals! You still need carbs, but nutrient dense carbs! I hope you get answers!

Could be reactive hypoglycemia if it happens a few hours after you eat

I had the SAME thing. POTS, PCOS, and orthostatic hypotension was my final diagnosis. I wore a dexcom and my sugar STAYED dropping. The alarm went off 24/7!

I’ve done this since middle school. The only thing that ever helped/stopped it was when I started mounjaro for weight loss. Never figured out what caused it though

This happens to me. I’ve realized I can’t eat sugary things such as cereal, pop tarts, smoothies, sweet coffee, etc without a protein of some sort or my sugar will drop about an hour after eating or drinking something that’s too sweet for my body to handle. I think the protein helps stabilize my blood sugar.

Omg I do the same thing, I’ve randomly passed out since the 5th grade 😅 Doctors can’t find anything wrong…I started taking metformin and that has seemed to help. I mostly do it while I’m on my cycle and stressed🤷🏼♀️literally a mystery. I swear I’m hypoglycemia

kind of sounds like reactive blood sugar possibly related to POTS!

If you find out you’re not diabetic…look into POTS! A year ago i finally forced myself to go to the doctor and I thought I may have been diabetic as well…but nope, got diagnosed with POTS after all my blood work was normal. Side note: POTS can cause low blood sugar in some cases!

I was the same exact way. They made me wear a Libre and mine dropped so much. It was crazy how much it beeped. It stayed in the 40’s!! My periods were always awful and I felt like I had endometriosis but kept putting the surgery off. I had the surgery and it confirmed it stage 4! And immediately after I was able to go hours without eating, felt SO much better all over. The endometriosis had taken over everything in my body! Literally I had my appendix removed & tumors on my ovaries. Not sure if you think it could be that. But I had the same symptoms! 🫶🏼
