I love the fact that you point out the real reason Jesus told the parable of Lazarus and the Rich man. It had zero to do with the state of the dead. Thanks for reiterating that!

What about the wisdom of Solomon? To be clear, I’m not being argumentative, I’m genuinely asking your opinion. I read it for the first time last night and that one talks a lot about judgement. In a very scary way in fact.

So scripture seems to always contrast eternal life with words like 'destroy, death, perish etc. (ie. John 3:16). Does that leave us to the exegetical stance of annihilation (an irreversible destruction that lasts forever)? Is there an angle scripture presents that I'm missing?

when I was 15, I went forward at church, asking the hard questions. as hard as a 15 year old can ask. lol. I was told to repeat the Sinners Prayer, and VIOLA' I was saved. flash forward 18 years and God was definitely trying to get my attention. I kept having an overwhelming FEAR i couldn't translate. My ex prayed for God to reveal the source and IMMEDIATELY God showed me eternity without HIM is what I was fearing. eternity without God is just empty, bleak, cold. quiet. I have strayed from the path occasionally since but that experience has held me when life wants to consume me. LOVE NEVER FAILS
Jesus never fails. HE can and will, show us the way if we ask.
it's rarely the way we were taught.

❤️’The only judgement at all is the Holy Spirit’s one division into two categories — one of love and the other a call to love.’ AND … He left Him with us. 😊!!

What are your thoughts on dispensationalism? I have a family member who is convinced it’s crucial but I find many issues with it personally

One of the things I treasure the most about your ministry is the emphasis on the importance of having a personal relationship with our Savior alive within us. Details are important to the defenders of denominational doctrine, but to love Jesus as he loves us is what really matters. Say on Ken, say on!

So based on this video our salvation doesn't depend on our devotion and laying down our lives for but rather whether or not we are the embodiment of God's love. In other words we earn our salvation by our actions and christ just pointed the way???? I don't think so..

So true. As a young Christian, I was taught that Jesus was helping us get off the planet sone day rather than teaching us how to live on this planet now for the glory of God.

Looking at everything thru a lens of the character of God displayed in Jesus . This turns religious beliefs & traditions on its head . No more division over religious dogma . Realizing that Jesus showed us the true heart of God . Not how to divide people over everything we believe that’s different .

Question. I get what you are saying on this topic. I’ve been on the level for a while now. You mentioned love and mercy “the weightier matters of the Torah”. Does one have to or need to have faith in Jesus/Yeshua? What if you were raised in a home that didn’t teach the Bible? And you never heard of any of this. But you still practiced love and mercy every day of your life? What happens to that guy. Will he be in the banquet or outside in the darkness?

Excellent stuff as always. Resurrection = anastatis- to be ‘upright’. Not necessarily bodies out of the ground :/). The anastasis of the ‘dead ones’ at the consummation of the ages (70AD at His parousia) was spiritual.

Jesus gave the parable of the rich man and Lazarus and that’s life after death. Jesus talked about hell more than he talked about heaven and I know this is where you become a heretic in your denial of eternal judgment.
