@hephzibahbilingua: The poem 'l'horizon électrique' (the electric horizon) was first written and performed as an exhibition for the Francophonie Day celebrations held at the Lycée Français Marcel Pagnol d'Abuja on the 28th of March, 2026 as part of the larger 'Mois de la Francophonie' celebrations hosted by the french embassy in Nigeria and the Institut Français themed ' L'avenir' or the future. The opening line "J'ai vu l'avenir" or I have seen the future encapsulates this theme beautifully. The poem addresses a major concern that has risen with the advent of technology and especially the precipitous and breakneck rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI). "Est-ce l'Apocalypse, ou bien la prison?" Should we be worried? Is this the end? "Non, Je vois l'aurore que s'en vient doucement." No we choose to see a new dawn that unfolds gently, where the metallic pulse beats along with our hearts, where ethics guide progress without terror. A future where humanity and the machine coexist.
