@ms.csilli: Graves Disease exhaustion is something people don’t talk about enough. Medication helped, but learning how to manage stress, sleep, energy, and my nervous system made the biggest difference for me personally. If you have Graves Disease, hyperthyroidism, or another autoimmune condition and constantly feel burnt out, these tips may help support your energy levels alongside medical treatment. #thyroidhealth #gravesdisease #hyperthyroidism #nervoussystem #chronicstress

Thank you for sharing. I’ve had Graves’ since Dec 2022 and after a little of over a year of taking methimazole, it helped mine go into remission but I have to get periodic bloodwork to check thyroid levels and ultrasounds to check the nodules on my thyroid.

Diagnosed three years ago. Went into “remission” 9 months ago and was able to wean off meds. Then my 18 month old nephew was diagnosed with brain cancer and four weeks later my graves is back and awful. Stress is such a trigger people underestimate

I have had this for the last 5 years. I had taking the medicine. And I have been taking it. I avoid the doc because I will get told off. How bad is it that I haven't taken meds for so long? 😩

I have had it for 29 years. First year was tough getting right medication levels. 70 now and everything is good. Take your medication and stay active.

Honestly I feel like the only thing the medication has done for me is slow down my metabolism, and apparently I’ve been “getting better” because I’m taking a lower dose than when I first started but I still feel so tired all the time (though admittedly, the five things you mentioned does help with overall feeling so I do feel slightly vindicated that I’ve been taking good steps to feel better lol)

I have M.E too, so I really have no idea where I am , I was diagnosed on 28th March and my T4 is now back in range but my TSH is still massively suppressed and I can barely move some days and I don’t know if it’s my m,e or the graves
