@therapistinrecovery: Mindfulness is such an important skill to staying mentally healthy, especially when you have anxiety or OCD. Research shows when done 5 minutes a day consistently it can be as effective as medication! That said, it’s often misunderstood and people are quick to give up on it. So for me I have found two techniques that work because everything else I ‘fail at’ and then it makes me feel like a failure and not good enough and then it start locking starts my ruminating about being an awful wife/friend/mum. My therapist could see my brain being distracted and telling me that I was good enough and that it okay. I am loving the experience, to look at each experience and let that lead on! Thank you ❤️
